i've never been successful with scone preparation. last year i tried to make some (possibly without the help of a recipe) and i failed dismally.
so i finally worked up the courage to try again with the supervision of my stepfather ed. because his recipe is way easier than mum's.
you need
* 3 cups of self-raising flour
* 1 cup of cream
* 1 cup of milk
* 1 T of lemon juice or vinegar
preheat the oven to 200-220°c
and then you mix the ingredients together
don't knead the dough! but you might need to add more flour / milk depending on the texture.
flatten out
cut out scone shapes (we used a tumbler)
lay out on a floury tray and brush with some milk.
cook in the preheated oven until they look done [15-20 min].
and then eat with jam and cream.
easy peasy!
