living on the edge

for the first half of my trip i managed to drink alcohol at most once a fortnight. but since arriving in salzburg a couple of weeks ago, i don't think that i've had one alcohol free day.

even after i got horribly drunk on absinthe and vomited, the next night i drank beer. because it's cheaper to buy a 0.5L beer than a 0.2L coke.

go figure.

i got very little sleep last night. i figure that when the inevitable i'm run down illness hits, i'll be very, very sick.

the sound of music

there's no doubt about it, the sound of music could possibly be my favourite, and is definitely my most watched film. which means that if i enter austria, i'm going to go to salzburg, and i'm going to see the sound of music sights.

but i think i'll be doing the budget d.i.y. student version if i go in 2002. one of the organised tours is $USD29.

and you know. i'll sing while i'm there. in public. because i really do wish life was like a musical.
