man. i'm feeling pretty

man. i'm feeling pretty damn tired. i was awake until about 1.30 last night. that's too late for a lumpling like me. we went out with seb to the exeter last night, and i saw tansy, alison and mike. it ended up being a pretty big tuesday.

:::...

today i actually seem to have done some work. my evil 78 pixel top bar is just not gelling for me. but i found out what the url for nexus will be and i got to watch some of the rehearsals for the studio links. two meetings have been arranged, hopefully they will direct me into actually doing something concrete. I've got about 15 different versions of mediocre top images. and not one really really good one.

bugger... i posted but didn't copy before hand and it didn't come up. that sucks.
hmmm. maybe i pressed the blogger button rather than Post&Publish. anyway. i should remember Ctrl + A, Ctrl + C - then Post & Publish.

i'm still waiting on

i'm still waiting on the look and feel of the main website so i feel like i keep on going around in circles. it's almost making me dizzy.
i saw croupier last night. clive owen is a bit of a spunkrat. i think it's the hat that he wore which made him so attractive. it was also the final of the secret life of us for the year. oh well, it means i might actually let myself go to the exeter to see kenny's window rather than staying at home to watch tv.
after aidan and i watched tv we slept on his mattress in his living room, as his housemate just moved out and took the couches. it felt like we were camping or something. if we had couches as well we could have built amazing cubbies, though we probably wouldn't be able to comfortably fit in.

my past life:::...

Pippa Buchanan

Pippa is technical developer for the online education unit of the Centre, a group popularly known as Da Web Freakz. Her roles within Da Freakz include database development, server side scripting (ASP, PHP), Macromedia Flash development and some design duties. She is in the process of completing a double Bachelor degree in Computer and Information Science, and Arts (Multimedia and Communications) at the University of South Australia.

In between sitting in front of a computer at work and working on her personal website from home, Pippa has introduced the practice of neoism and initiated the development of the neoistic vocabulet to the Center. A fan of sleeping, lunchtime and pineapple juice, it was only under duress that Pippa joined the Centre netball team and actually played some sport. Though she wouldn?t publicly admit it, she did actually enjoy pointlessly running after a ball wearing a badly designed skirt.

Without Pippa the Centre would be struggling to layout a document effectively in Pagemaker, Cam would not have a fellow Sound of Music fan to sing 'My Favourite Things' with, and Karah would be trying to take over the world by herself.

Pippa appreciates martial arts, unsuccessfully auditioned for the second series of Popstars, is lead singer and bass player for the rock band Battlecat and regularly impresses strangers with her wit and knowledge of Buffy the Vampire Slayer trivia.

A strong supporter of independent music (local and overseas), Pippa has worked with Three D Radio 93.7 FM and Carclew Youth Arts Centre to establish recognition of original, South Australian music. She hopes to one day combine her multimedia skills and love of music to develop exciting online interactive media.

when i was driving

when i was driving home from mum's last night i hit a cat. it just ran out under my wheels. I had to do a u-turn and then go back, and another person stopped because they could see it kicking around. within about two minutes it had died. i looked for a collar but it didn't have one. so i picked it up and left it by the side of the road. there was nothing else i could do.

i didn't have nightmares about cats last night. but i had one about the site that i'm working on.
so i'm waiting for the look and feel and the "functional description" documents to come over from melbourne so that i can make sure that my site works with the rest of the asiapacific site. and instead of photoshop i'm learning about the publishing tool that the abc uses. it's kinda like one giant blog.

luella arrived at my house this morning. she's over for the next three days. mum's kinda excited as it means that lue might actually move her stuff from our garden shed. (which is where all my stuff from parkside will end up.)

i think that i have to play netball tonight. i don't really want to. it will be the first proper "aidan and pippa" night since his exams finished. on tuesday we went to venessa's party (and ended up arguing) and last night we were both doing parental dinner stuff... maybe he'll just have to come along for netball. sweaty girlfriend. what a romantic concept.

i seem to have

i seem to have the most uncomfortable chair in all of the abc. it does some weird sloping forward thing and the adjusting thingamibob is not working.
though, i am lucky to have a chair, a desk and a computer running windows 95. some people have none of these useful resources.

i have finally done

i have finally done some study for my sdpm exam. and i've also found an excellent practice resource which would have been excellent for the multiple choice tests throughout the semester, but at least i found them before the exam!

mykl was such a shit to me yesterday, he made me feel like i was causing him problems by being unsure about what to do with moving out of the castle st house. i'm doing him a favour by planning on being out around the time morgan moves in, whether i move back home to mum and ed's or find a place to actually move out into.
and now i'm feeling confused about whether i should find a place by myself even if i'm not completely happy with it, or whether i should go back to mum and ed's, pay board and save up money to go overseas or for a deposit for a house. even if i'm back home for about a month i'd be able to save at least two grand (though christmas will get in the way).
all i can decide is that i'm not going to apply for the place that i looked at today. the yard was nice, but there wasn't enough room inside the house.

yay for tax returns being automatically deposited!

hmmmm. i must go home. i have to go off to aibisi and sign things tomorrow.

i am happy with the text settings for my style sheet at the moment. and i have pretty pictures to help spunkify the page, maybe flash! (after the exam is over!).
