i feel like redesigning

i feel like redesigning the housing trust presentation. the interface feels really boring. but they want it finished in a week and we weren't given a design brief, so they'll just have to put up with what they'll get.

i've been feeling annoyed about this entire sarah/betty crap career girls review issue.

to summarise:
sarah wrote a review of a split 7" of tyke and career girls for the ozmusicproject website under the alias of betty. elements of the career girls review were personal and didn't deal with the release. many people were offended by this and sarah has copped the flak. i emailed the shineyshoes list to acknowledge that the review was poorly written and that the people who were offended had justification for their feelings.

in return to sarah's webbased venting: i'm assuming the similar sitations you're referring to are the corrina / holly hating me situations?

...this situation is not that similar.

anyway... to return to reality...

i'm so tired. chris

i'm so tired.

chris and i were up late trying to get some order into the housing trust presentation. then when i tried to get to sleep i could only think about ways which we could have done the presentation and i couldn't sleep so i had to take two antihistamines in the hope that they'd make me sleep.

and then after the 9am meeting with housing trust i had uni until 3.

then i came home and slept.

at least i'm up to date with my uni work. i don't have to worry about that.

but i haven't been eating properly. just hot cross buns and yoghurt it seems.

my juice has many vitamins in it though. and folate. which should be healthy making.
and i'm listening to sandro. it makes my heart feel good.

i have to go eat food with aidan.

maybe i'll have some vegetables!!!

it rained really heavily

it rained really heavily last night. i bet that the brown couch which was still outside from the housewarming party is absolutely saturated. and i was wanting to bring it inside!

i finally read the big email that lue sent to the shiney-shoes list. what a sweet email! and she's got a crush! a good sounding crush! (not to imply that her other crushes are bad, this one just sounds good).

her email's got me wanting to go to melbourne town soon.

damn this being busy on monday and fridays thing. otherwise i'd get to go.

i posted about how i was sick. the blog didn't update. poo.

oh well.

i'm feeling sick. i've got a cough and gross phlegm.

but if i eat a better range of food i will get better.

i saw sarah and adn play their rock yesterday. well not rock. their pop. it was very fine pop with elements of you am i.

and i got to see polevault on saturday after i'd gone to see dancer in the dark. for various childish reasons on my half, aidan and i ended up having our first fight after the gig. but aside from the depressing movie at the start and the fight at the end, it was a very good polevault show. and j had put on ...and you will know us by the trail of dead before the set. which was good too.

i missed out the brillig launch on friday because of chris, alex and tom n's birthday drinks. i feel kinda rude because i've been at most of their other shows, so i'll email matt to apologise.

gee, my blog is

gee, my blog is really slowing down. i haven't posted for ages.

sorry people (especially sarah - who demanded more updates).
well. what's happened?

i'm surviving out of home quite well. mykl and i aren't getting on particularly well at times (we both know how to wound each other verbally), and we do have one major disease in the house already. chris and i are rather behind on the housing trust project and have already missed one lecture (we're only one week into the uni year!).

i've started my new job at the women's and children's hospital and that is going well. i've not been going into the sleep lab as much as i should, so i haven't been getting that much money from there. i should really get some database stuff going on my computer at home, that way i'll at least be able to claim some pay.

last night i had the privilege of having aidan visit me at 2am after he'd drunk large amounts of alcohol at some med dinner. which was very sweet of him. especially since he was eating pizza on my bed and leaving behind bits of ham and cheese everywhere.
i didn't get very much sleep. he was snoring and had managed to pin down the quilt cover so that i couldn't get warm or comfortable enough to sleep.

but it was funny and it was nice to be visited. even by a very messy boy.

who will get drunker tonight at another med thing. and then we'll have the house warming party on saturday. yippee! more alcohol poisoning for everyone!
