haven’t we been here before?
by Pippa ~ October 7th, 2007. Filed under: Uncategorized.Today I realised that if I could choose to be reincarnated as an animal I would choose to be a rainbow lorikeet swooping and chattering through the park near my house. Aliese pointed out that you don’t really get to choose what you get reincarnated as, and that returning to an animal form would be a bit of a step backwards. So presuming that I don’t get to choose my next form, I now have an answer for when I’m faced with the inane “What animal would you be?” question in job interviews.
For a long time I also pondered the answer to “If you could have a superpower, what would it be?”. Then, finally, during a heroes inspired discussion at my last job I decided:
My superpower would be the ability to suck carbon out of the atmosphere and to form it into new shapes such as darts to attack supervillains, or even better carbon fibre bicycle frames. My superhero name would be Sequestra.

The Vedic philosophy embraced by the Hare Krishnas says that you will be reincarnated in the form best suited to the satisfaction of your desires. If swooping and chattering takes your fancy then there you go! Aliese is right that an animal (other than human) would be a step back if you view the escape from the cycle of birth and death, but…
I’m planning to come back as an Albatross or a Magpie on my next go around. Some kind of bird anyways.

or you could take the tripod answer from my interview with them years ago and say your superpower is that you can ‘control your whole body with your mind’.
hehe.
hope your birthday was as lovely as mine, pity we couldnt spend it together!
