susan cooper’s books often float to the top of my favourites list. but last night i saw the trailer and am now heartbroken - for starters will is american! even christopher ecclestone’s presence won’t help. my tip: read the books before the film opens.

I saw the trailer for it when I went to see the new (disappointing) Harry Potter. It looked rubbish, and seemed to have veered strongly away from the plot of the novels. On a more promising note, The Golden Compass (Northern Lights) trailer looked amazing.
