Return To [A]Town
by Pippa ~ January 16th, 2007. Filed under: England, adelaide, places. It took a while, but finally my tickets out of Helsinki and home again to Adelaide are now booked. I will be home just before the end of February.
Shall we have a passionate reunion? Or shall we meet face to face for the very first time? Whatever, I can’t wait to hang out with all my Radelaide people.
Also, I’ll be in the UK for a couple of weeks in February where I’ll be meeting up with Brian in Newcastle and hanging out with Evan and Zenna who will coincidentally be in England too.
Just in case I have any English based blog lurkers, now would be the appropriate time for you to introduce yourself and to give me advice about what I should see and do in one of my nations of citizenship. I have a particular fascination to find good cafes and teahouses as research for long range goals #1 and #4.
So, any suggestions for the UK?

Without a doubt you should go to the TATE GALLERY, and directly from there get the TATE BOAT along the Thames to the TATE MODERN. There are also a heap of other galleries in london to go to. Try to get over to Wales as well - i cant tell you anything about Scotland cause i never been !!
see you at airport, your room is ready x

Oxford is gorgeous. The National Gallery in London is lovely also. Camden Markets is great. I was a big fan of Covent Garden when i was there, lovely part of town. Actually, someone who might help you out with some great london places to go is Niina. Check out http://niina.amniisia.com/niina/

The Central Markets are quite nice as are the wine districts and there are a couple of pubs worth visiting although I’d steer clear of the Crown and Anchor as years of your youth can disappear down the toilet if you dare to enter that place. Otherwise I might suggest an afternoon picnic in the Royal Adelaide Botani-
Oh … wait a minute … sorry …
